Number of Years Bundle – Stampin’ Up!

By on 4-03-2016 in Cards, Family, Jenny Peterson, Stampin' Up!, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Michigan

Both of my kids have birthday’s coming up very soon…actually, Alec’s is on Tuesday and he will be turning double digits!!  He’s super excited about this!  Lauren’s birthday is May 1st and she will be a TEENAGER!  Yes…I’m nervously excited for her…and me!  These years have gone so fast but I’m looking forward to seeing the young adults they are becoming!

This is the birthday card I will be giving Alec.  It suits him well as it is also the Detroit Tigers team colors and their opening day of baseball is falling on his birthday!  He will also be starting baseball next week…I think I’m more excited than him…my favorite sport!  I love using this Number of Years bundle (140811) from the Occasions Catalog and I hope you do too!

I started with a piece of 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ Night of Navy card stock (100867), fold in half and set aside.  Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock (100730) to 3 3/4 x 5″. Using the Perpetual Birthday stamp set (137167), stamp the watercolor image using Smoky Slate ink (131179) in the center of the Whisper White piece.  Using the same stamp set, stamp the stars using Pumpkin Pie ink (126945) three times on the card.

Using the Numbers of Years stamp set (140653), stamp the “1” and “0” in Night of Navy ink (126970) on to Night of Navy card stock and cut out using the Large Numbers Framelit Dies (140622) and the Big Shot (113439).  To get the placement of the “th”, lay the 10 on to the card and then stamp the “th” from the Number of Years stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708).  Stamp the Happy and Birthday on to Smoky Slate card stock (131202) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and cut out and into a banner.  Sponge around the edges of the banners using Smoky Slate ink (131179) using a Stamping Sponge (141337).  Curl banners uisng a Bone Folder (102300) and adhere to card using adhesive.  Adhere the “10” to the card front using half of Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).

Since I loved the way this card turned out…I also created the same card for Lauren’s birthday card just using different colors.  Enjoy!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
