3D Tag a Bag Gift Bag Tutorial

By on 7-27-2013 in 3D Projects, Convention 2013, Jenny Peterson, Stampin' Up!, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Michigan, Tutorial, Video

During our annual Convention last week corporate team member, Pam Morgan, showed us how to change one of our Tag a Bag Gift Bags into a 3D gift bag.  I loved this idea so I tried it this week and came up with this creation for you!  I also did a video on how to create this bag so be sure to check it out below!  I give all the dimensions in the video!

 (465) (466)

Let’s go over how to decorate this cute bag!

I started with a Tea Lace Paper Doily (129399).  I cut off a little of the bottom of the doily and then scrunched it a little to give it a different look.  I used a piece of 3/4″ Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon (130019) and placed it on the bag using Sticky Strip (104294).  I also cut a piece of Coastal Cabana 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim (130024) and placed it on with Sticky Strip over the chevron ribbon.   You’ll also see I fringed the bottom of the chevron ribbon using my Craft & Paper Scissors (108360).

I stamped one of the images from the Best of Shelli stamp set (133488) using Jet Black Stazon (101406) on to Crushed Curry card stock (131199).  I then cut it out using the Deco Labels Collection Framelit Dies (130102) and the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (113439).  I took a piece of the Canvas Creations (129375) and cut out the “M” using the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die (127553).  I then colored the “M” using a Aqua Painter (103954) and a few drops of Coastal Cabana Classic Ink Refill (131164).  To make it stiffer, I also cut out the “M” from the cardboard piece in the Canvas Creations pack and adhered it together.  I love when we can use packing material for different things!  I then popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals (101610) on to the top.

The top of the bag is decorated using the Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine and Mini Clothespin from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit (130153).  Purchase the Tag a Bag Bundle (131371)  and SAVE 15%!!!
